Calvert Street, Baltimore, MD 21202, the Bar Association of Baltimore City's Historical Committee, chaired by Elva E. Tillman, Esq. presents Pathways to Leadership for Women. Our guest speaker, Elaine Weiss, author of The Woman’s Hour: The Great Fight to Win the Vote, will discuss the efforts by the suffragettes as they battled the anti-suffragettes throughout the country and how racism served as one of the underlying strategies anti-suffragettes used in an attempt to defeat the 19th Amendment.
