Succession and Disaster Planning:
Tips from Bar Counsel, a Law Firm Partner, and an Accountant

Wednesday, February 24, 2021
12:00 p.m.– 2:00 p.m.
Via Zoom

Things happen, and often without warning. Protect the future of your firm by successfully executing a succession plan to ensure continuity of your firm’s management and its important client relationships. Every firm, small to large, should have a succession/disaster plan in place to protect the firm, clients, loved ones and also to protect attorneys from professional and ethical exposure. The plan can be used for short term absences from practice due to illness or injury, as well as a permanent winding down of law practice. The program will include a step-by-step guide to creating and implementing a disaster/succession plan, as well as how to transition clients/files from an attorney who might be retiring or slowing down to a younger attorney in the same firm.
