States across the U.S. continue to grapple with the ever-changing laws and regulations surrounding cannabis, and Maryland is no different as it considers ways to expand its own medical cannabis program, while understanding the impact of the passage of the recent 2018 Farm Bill. In addition to exploring the nuances of Maryland's own program and where the state is headed, the presentation will provide insights around the roles of FDA, USDA and DEA in regulating cannabis, hemp and/or hemp-derived products, the state of CBD and the future of CBD-containing products, and trends to watch in the food and beverage, dietary supplement and cosmetic industries. Attendees should arrive at 11:45 a.m. as we will be serving lunch at this time.
