The Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS) is a public service of the Bar Association of Baltimore City (BABC), a non-profit organization. LRIS was formed to assist the public in obtaining qualified legal counsel, to provide general legal information to the public, and to inform the public of other resources that may be able to provide assistance. We are the first Lawyer Referral Service in the state of Maryland to be certified by the American Bar Association.

The Bar Association of Baltimore City Lawyer Referral and Information Service began in more than 20 years ago and continues today providing service to individuals in need.
